Doggie Day: J.J.
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center has a new furry friend for you to meet.
J.J. is two years old and is a lab mix. He has been at the Adoption Center for over a month now. Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Calihan said when J.J. first came in he was shy but, he has recently really started coming out of his shell.
“He’s different looking. We think he’s really pretty. He’s got the dark colors but you can see around his mouth and chest it’s really light. He’s almost got that ‘ombre look’ going on to him,” said Calihan.
The Adoption Center’s Comedy Show fundraiser, at Bryan Place, will be happening on Saturday April 7th. Calihan said all the proceeds from the event will go to helping the animals.
“It will be a good time, some good laughs, and most of all it’s going to benefit all the dogs that we get in Muskingum County that we bring to the Adoption Center. We’re trying to raise money to get a new facility. So, all the money will go towards the new facility,” said Calihan.
Tickets for the show are $20. There will also be prizes and 50-50 raffles. For more information about the event, or to set up an interaction with J.J., contact the adoption center at 740-453-0273.
