ZANESVILLE Ohio– The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center has a new friend for your family.

Sweetie is a Terrier mix who came to the adoption center about a month ago as a stray. She is about a year old and is currently with a foster family.

“She is everything her name says. She’s very sweet, extremely loveable she’s a good dog and she’s a really good girl.  She likes to hoard her stuffed animals. She likes to collect them all put them in a pile. She has a little corner in her foster home where she has taken and collected all of her toys,” said Brittany Calihan.

The adoption center is also hosting a comedy show fundraiser at Bryan Place to raise money for their new building. Calihan said people should come out and support the animals.

“The dogs really deserve a new facility. Our facility has been here for quite a while now. Hopefully, we can raise some money and get the dogs a new home,” said Calihan.

Tickets for the show are $20. For more information about the event, or to set up an interaction with Sweetie, contact the adoption center at 740-453-0273.
