Donald L. “Fuzzy” Hittle 1951 – 2017
Donald L. “Fuzzy” Hittle, 65, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017, while under the care of Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born October 30, 1951, in Zanesville, the son the late Albert & Doris (Frew) Hittle. He married Beverly (Thompson) Hittle on October 30, 1996.
Don was the founder of the Ohio Chapter of the Blind Pigs Horseshoe Club, and was a member of the Try-County Horseshoe Club, OHPA and NHPA. He was an avid promoter of the sport. He also enjoyed golfing, cooking, having a good conversation and spending time with friends.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a daughter: Faith, a sister: Karen; his father-in-law: George Thompson and two brothers-in-law: Mike Thompson and Eric Thompson.
Don is survived by his wife of over twenty years, two daughters: Julie (Barry) Carter and their son: Andrew Carter of Germany and Jennifer Dunfee and her children: Paige and Grant all of Zanesville; one brother: Mark Hittle of Hopedale and his children: Amberly, Angela and Andrea; two step children: Shawn (Jennifer Jones and Brandy Jones; his mother-in-law: Carol (Hobert) Huff; brother-in-law: Todd (Pam) Thompson; sister-in-law: Debbie (Terry) Tysinger; several step-grandchildren; a host of relatives and a special “fur daughter”; LuLu.
Fuzzy leaves a large circle of friends whom he cherished. Through his personality and lifestyle, he easily enriched and impacted those who knew and loved him, leaving each with very special memories.
