Donation for Disabled Veterans Outdoors

THORNVILLE, Ohio- Disabled veterans have the chance to go on outdoor rides with a donation given for the Disabled Veterans Outdoors Organization.
Disabled Veterans Outdoors Organization is a nonprofit putting on programs for disabled veterans. The organization is all volunteers and they hold events such as cookouts, pontoon boat tours, hunts, fishing, camping, different things to do to get veterans into the outdoors.
President of Disabled Veterans Outdoors, Kenn McCord said, “Anything that we can do to get them outdoors. And we don’t target any specific veteran, but we have a lot of veterans that come out to our programs that don’t usually get out of their house and enjoy themselves.”
A conservationist club in New Jersey found the group’s website and asked them to submit a proposal for something they needed. The organization discussed it and decided to submit a proposal for a six seater side by side UTV. The New Jersey club accepted the proposal, then purchased and donated the 14 thousand dollar UTV to the group.
“Today is the biggest donation we’ve ever gotten. It’s a blessing.” McCord added.
