Dora Dobbins

Dora S. Dobbins, 80 of Zanesville, died 10:56 AM, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville. She was born Friday, November 2, 1945, in Ravenna, the daughter of John Joseph and Margaret (Martin) Joseph.

Dora retired from Lear Corp following over 45 years of service. She was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1628, where she also served as union steward.

Dora enjoyed bingo, socializing with friends, and was an avid bowler, even bowling a 300 game. She was an active member of the Muskingum County Senior Center, and Zanesville Moose Lodge, where she greatly enjoyed her time volunteering with both organizations. Dora was also a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Dora is survived by four children, Kent Joseph, Margaret Joseph, Kelly Joseph, and Donald Dobbins; two grandchildren, Angel Dobbins and Austin Dobbins; two great grandchildren, Oakley Churchill and Kai Churchill; one brother, Archie Joseph; one daughter-in-law, Jodi Joseph, and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by one son, Chris Joseph, and siblings, Lucille & Harold Gheen, and Herb & Donna Joseph.

Friends may call two hours prior to funeral services, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM, with Rev.
