Doris Marie Zakany (March 20, 1929 – March 20, 2012)

Doris Marie Zakany, 83, of Zanesville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 20, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
Doris was born on March 20, 1929 in Zanesville to the late Charles and Pauline Fluharty Sagle. Doris was the former Co-Owner of Zakany’s Food Town and was a longtime member of the Northside Church of The Nazarene. Doris was the former President of C.C.L. (Child Conversation League), enjoyed playing euchre, and loved her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Theodore C. “Ted” Zakany , two daughters: Beverly (Mark) Catlett and Julie Zakany, three sons: Ted ( DeLores) Zakany, Daniel (Marla) Zakany, and Tom Zakany, a brother Donald Sagle all of Zanesville. 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Helen Rosenow and a granddaughter Maria Zakany.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday March 23 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, visitation starting at 10am at NORTHSIDE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, 739 FRANCIS AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OHIO 43701 with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
