Dorothy E. Stephens (February 23, 1930 – January 17, 2014)

Dorothy E. Stephens, 83, of Zanesville OH, formerly of New Port Richey, FL, passed away at 4:44 AM Friday January 17, 2014 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
She was born February 23, 1930 in Zanesville the daughter of the late August Jay and Frances Marie White Miller. She was a 1947 graduate of Lash High School Zanesville. Dorothy was a resident of Florida for 54 years till the death of her husband John R. Stephens on May 13, 2013. She moved back to Zanesville to be near her sisters and brother.
Dorothy is survived by her sisters: Karen (Bill) Johnson and Shirley (Bob) Orwig both of Zanesville OH, Delores (Earl) Brandenburg of Flat Rock, MI and Kathleen (Bill) Gaster of Brownsville, PA, brothers: Paul (Dorothy) Miller of Zanesville OH and August Jay Miller Jr., several nieces and nephews, special friend “niece” Connie Strohl of Stockport, OH and many friends and neighbors in New Port Richey, FL.
Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, husband, sister: Betty Mc Daniel and brother: Richard Miller.
Honoring Dorothy’s request she is to be cremated and will join her husband in Florida National Cemetery Bushnell FL.
