Dorothy L. Saliba, 100 of North Ridgeville, formerly of Zanesville and Columbus, died, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at home surround by her loving family. She was born Friday, September 19, 1924, in Zanesville, the daughter of George Joseph and Pansy H. (Saliba) Joseph. She married John N. Saliba on Tuesday, August 2, 1960 in Lebanon and was a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville and Christ the King Catholic Church in Columbus.

She was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School, the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, and continued her nursing career with Good Samaritan Hospital, Lazarus Department Store, Medical Clinic, and retired from St. Anthony’s Hospital.

Dorothy enjoyed slot machine gambling and loved the horse races. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries, tabloid news, and she loved to crochet. She was a loving and caring wife, sister and aunt.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of over 65 years, John Saliba; several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews, including family in the United States, Canada, France and Lebanon.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Joseph, Bobby Joseph and Jimmy Joseph and one sister, Marie Habib.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon, Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 955 East Main Street, Zanesville, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon with Fr. Brian Beal as celebrant. Dorothy will be laid to rest in the family plots at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
