Dottie Sterzinar

Dottie L. Sterzinar (née McMillan), 79, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, in the community she called home throughout her life. Born on October 24, 1946, Dottie was the beloved daughter of Dorothy Lincicome. She lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and an unwavering love for animals.
A gifted artist, Dottie expressed herself through both oil paints and watercolors, creating works that reflected her appreciation for beauty and the world around her. Her artistic talents brought joy to family, friends, and all who had the privilege of viewing her work. Dottie was also a devoted animal lover whose kindness extended to countless animals in need. She dedicated much of her life to caring for horses and recuing dogs and cats, providing them with the love, safety and second chances they deserved.
Dottie will be remembered for her creativity, her caring nature, and the compassion she showed to all living creatures. Her legacy of love, kindness, and artistic expression will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her warmth and generosity.
A life lived with compassion is a life well lived, and Dottie’s memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
