Double Fatal Accident in Licking County

Licking County- Two people are dead following an accident on State Route 13 in Licking County.

It took place Sunday, June 1 just before 6:30pm near Hupp Road. The Granville Post of the State Highway patrol said 42-year-old Rocky Smith of Thornville, was driving south on State Route 13 when he went left of center striking a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Rory Hiltner of Newark.

Mrs. Hiltner and Mr. Smith were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
