Dr. Finck Pleads No Contest

Courtroom

A Zanesville Doctor who failed to report a gunshot wound he treated entered a plea in Zanesville Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Dr Samuel Finck, who was supposed to go on trial Thursday, entered a plea of no contest to an amended misdemeanor charge.

A visiting judge sentenced Finck to 30 days in jail, which was suspended, a $100 fine and $75 in court costs.

Finck treated Josh Daniels in 2012 after he was shot during a robbery.

Daniels reached to Finck and Dr James Gasparine for treatment of his wound.

In June, Gasparine also plead no contest to failure to report a crime and was given 50 hours of community service and two years of probation.

Finck is employed by Genesis HealthCare.
