House Fire Dresden

DRESDEN, Ohio- A Dresden man is recovering after his home catches fire on Saturday.

Fire crews responded to a call of a house fire on Chestnut Street around 11 a.m.. The homeowner was in the home at the time of the fire and was severely burned. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Dresden Fire Chief Harold Wolford says  investigators don’t believe it was arson.

“We have the State Fire Marshal come in and help us with the investigation. It’s not intentional. We’re trying to determine the exact source whether it’s wiring or an electric heater.”

The victim was transported to Genesis Hospital before being taken to the Ohio State University burn center in Columbus. His current condition is unknown.
