Dresden Man Dies After Fall From Ladder

A Dresden man is dead after an apparent work related accident. Jefferson Township Board of Trustees President Drake Prouty says on Monday Township Maintenance Supervisor Thomas Miller was apparently trying to remove a bee’s nest from the township salt building at 1595 Main Street and fell from a ladder striking his head. The 64-year-old Miller later died at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. There were no eyewitnesses. Prouty says the Ohio Employment Risk Reduction Program will be investigating the incident tomorrow. Prouty says Miller will be greatly missed. He was a perfectionist who went above and beyond the call of duty on all of his township projects.
