Dresden Police Spaghetti Fundraiser

A fundraiser was held Sunday to benefit a local police department.

The Dresden Police Department held their monthly spaghetti dinner at the Dresden Senior Center to raise money for their Cruiser fund. Chief of Police Jeff Garver said he feels the community appreciates the idea that they’re rolling up their sleeves to dig in and help serve.

"The town, the village doesn’t have the finances that it used to with the down cline in the economy so we started this several years ago actually to do a dinner to help with some of the equipment that we need. Spaghetti is easy we’re not cooks so we do the spaghetti and had a very good turnout, we always do the community stands behind us," said Jeff Garver, Chief of Police Dresden, Ohio.

Garver said they’ve bought their 6th cruiser and this fundraiser will help them to pay it off.
