Drug Bust on Homewood Avenue

A drug bust took place Thursday morning leading to the arrest of one individual.

The Zanesville and Muskingum County Joint Drug Task Force conducted the search warrant at 712 Homewood Avenue using the Zanesville Police Department Special Response team.

Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury said, “They are still early in their investigation, still early in searching this residence, but they have found what they advise was illegal drugs inside of the house and paraphernalia.”

Chief Coury said this is just one of multiple investigations into drugs that are taking place.

“As of last week we had a couple of arrests and these arrests have now brought us over here and we are going to continue to pursue those who have direct involvement in any drug trafficking be it in Muskingum County or the City of Zanesville.”

The name of the individual arrested was not released.
