Dutro to Host Jammin’ on the Canal This Friday

Dutro Ford Lincoln Nissan is typically a downtown source for new and used cars but for this Friday they’re also the source for partying.

Located on South 5th Street in Zanesville, the automotive dealership is hosting what they call Jammin’ on the Canal. An event that they once held before the pandemic, returns Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.. Dutro’s courtyard is currently filled with new cars but will be cleared out for a night of music, food, and fun.

“Just some fun entertainment. We got DJ Kurtus, he does a lot of events around town, he has a lot of spirits. We’re going to give out some cash prizes every half an hour. We’ve got food trucks, we got Kona Ice, we have Jaycee’s Beer Garden here serving beer. Obviously. So it is for sale. But yeah, just some fun entertainment. Looks like the weathers going to be great. Just about 3 hours of just having some fun in downtown Zanesville here at Dutro’s,” said Dave Caldwell, the pre-owned sales manager for Dutro’s.

The two food trucks include Randy’s Backyard Barbeque and Domino’s Pizza. Should you chose Domino’s for your meal that night, you’ll see your money going back into the community.

“We are going to have the Domino’s Pizza trailer here. We are going to be donating the pizza. All those proceeds are going to go to the West Muskingum girls softball team. They’ll be running the trailer,” Caldwell said.
