E-M-A: Muskingum River Residents “Be Prepared to Evacuate”

The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency has issued a notice for those who live immediately adjacent to the Muskingum River from Dresden to the City of Zanesville. Due to the Ice Jam and flooding that threatens that area the Muskingum County E-M-A recommends that people in those areas be prepared to evacuate to protect their health and safety. If you have no means of transportation or if you are physically unable to evacuate on your own, ask a neighbor to assist your or call the E-M-A office or 9-1-1. If you know of any neighbors or co-workers or language problems or special needs, please advise them of this message. If you have neighbors or co-workers who need help or do not have transportation, offer to assist them if you can or call the E-M-A office or 9-1-1.
