Early Morning Fire at Olde Falls Inn

Unnamed

ZANESVILLE, OH – An early-morning fire on Saturday  has damaged Olde Falls Inn on Newark Road.

With what has been diagnosed as an electrical failure from a light fixture on the outside of the building.

The interior is heavily damaged, and the Inn is expected to be closed down for some time.

Falls Township Fire Chief Brady Johnson was in Columbus when he received the call at 8:40 am, before racing to the scene.

“Our first arriving units found that they had fire coming out of the eaves closest to the road way” says Johnson. “The fire started getting into the attic. We were able to contain the fire to the attic, but it did cause significant damage to the inside.”

Johnson adds that the responders had to pull down the ceiling to stop the fire.

The owner does have insurance on the property, and no injuries were reported at the scene.
