Early Morning Fire on West Main

The Zanesville Fire Department is on the scene of a fire that broke out at 940 West Main Street, Tuesday morning.

That is at the corner of West Main and Luck Avenue and was the former home of McCarty’s Bar. The call came in just before 2:30 a.m.

The two story structure is a commercial building and flames were seen coming out of the top of the building when firefighters arrived.

West Main Street will remain closed while crews are on the scene.

Falls Township was called in to assist at the scene. West Main Street was re-opened just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
