Early Voting in Muskingum County
So far in Ohio, 49,000 people have cast absentee ballots for the November general election.
The Muskingum County Board of Elections will be extending their office hours for early voting. Office hours will be open from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. Director of the Muskingum County Board of Elections says they will also extend their office hours into the weekend.
"We have two Saturday’s that we will be open, October the 25 and November the 1, we will be open from 8 A.M until 4 P.M. We have one Sunday, that is November the 2 we will be open from 1P.M. until 5 P.M."
The board of elections reminds the public that if you cannot make it into their office, you can have your absentee ballot be mailed to you. Your application must returned to their office by noon on Saturday, November 1.
"As of today we received approximately 5,000 applications requesting absentee ballets to be mailed to them. And, as of now, this is the seventh day we’ve had early voting, and we’ve had approximately 400 voters come through our office and vote early."
The last day for early voting will be the day before the November 4th election from 8 A.M. until 2 P.M.
