Eastside Community Ministry Is Hosting Free Fresh Produce Market on May 31

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â A local organization is having a free indoor fresh produce market.
This event will take place next Tuesday, May 31 from noon to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in South Zanesville.
“They just have to bring bags or boxes to carry the produce in,” Eastside Community Ministry Site Coordinator for Produce Market Linda Hollingworth said. “If there’s somebody that has trouble walking or whatever, we have people assist them throughout the line and carry the food to their car.”
Eastside Community Ministry and Mid-Ohio Food Bank has been working together for the past 6 years in effort to provide fresh produce to families.
“We start giving out numbers at 9:30 in the morning,” Hollingworth said. “At 11 o’ clock we registering people at which point they will be able to come in and sit down and then about 12 o clock we’ll open the market and we start calling numbers.”
The next indoor produce market is slated for June 30. First Baptist Church is located at 80 East Main Street in South Zanesville.
