Eastside Community Ministry Kick’s Off 10th Annual Chair-ITY Auction

ZANESVILLE, OH – Take a seat, prop up your feet, and get ready because it’s time for Eastside Community Ministry’s 10th annual Chair-ITY Auction!

The Chair-ITY Auction is Eastside’s biggest fundraiser of the year to help fund everyday programs like the food pantry, Eastside Essentials, emergency relief program and the year round youth program.

Jamie Trout, the Executive Director of Eastside, said she’s excited to see everyone out and about, looking at all the entries from other community members.

She said there’s something for just about everyone at the auction this year.

“We have a lot of great entries, something for everyone like every year.” Trout said. “We have an online auction and a silent auction going on until 5 o’clock on Saturday, we’re all set up in the mall and we’re ready for people to stop out and check things out.”

Trout said they received over 112 entries for this year’s auction and she is blown away.

She said this auction wouldn’t be possible without the support from the community.

“It is a big deal for us because when you start something like this of course you don’t know how it’s going to go.” Trout said. “But people really took a hold of this, it’s a CHAIR-ity Auction, so it’s very unique but every year we get such nice entries, so we’re just really excited that everybody else enjoys it as much as we do.”

The Chair-ITY Auction kicked off on Friday at 3PM and will run until 5PM Saturday at the Colony Square Mall.
