Edith Jean “Jeanie” Palmer, age 83, of Zanesville, passed away following a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Thursday, June 2, 1938 in Glencoe, OH the daughter of John Clarence Jeffers and Mildred (Hall) Jeffers. She was married on Sunday, August 26, 1956, to Everett Albert Palmer who preceded her in death on Sunday, August 7, 2011.
She was a member of the Bellaire United Methodist Church. Jeanie was a homemaker and volunteered at her church for many years. She was a loving mother grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by seven children, Patricia Lambert of Wooster, Jane Kovacic of West Salem, Everett Albert (Lisa) Palmer Jr., Senecaville, Megan (David) Huey of Zanesville, Deborah (Bill) Smith of Zanesville, Pamela Palmer, of Zanesville, Shawnee Jo (Rick) Williams of Canfield; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; three sisters: Deloris Palmer and Gloria Manges and Rilla Moraga several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Sue Berberich; one grandson, William Kovacic; two sons-in-law, Joe Lambert and Clifford Kovacic.
