EDNA M. WATSON (SEPTEMBER 30, 1918 – JULY 29, 2016)

Edna M. Watson, 97, of Owensboro, Kentucky, formerly of Zanesville, died Friday, July 29, 2016, at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital, Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born September 30, 1918, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John S. and Martha Young Mitchell. She was a homemaker, enjoyed bowling , knitting, sewing and playing Bingo. Edna was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star # 52.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley A. Menzie of Owensboro, KY; four grandchildren, Tim Menzie, Sloane A. Payne, Lisa Slinkard and Cherie Carrol; eleven great-grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Ted” Watson, a daughter, Karen Chrisley; two brothers, Edward Mitchell and Paul Mitchell; and a sister, Mary Smith.

Friends and family may call from 11 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with grandson, Christopher (Cristie) Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
