Edward Jirles

Edward (Fast Eddie) P. Jirles Sr., 71 of Cambridge, passed away September 16, 2024.

He was born February 2, 1953, in Cambridge, son of the late Roger P. Jirles and Mary Howell Jirles.  Eddie attended the First Presbyterian Church, was a member of the VFW, Eagles, and Chaplin for the Dirty Bastards Club.  He enjoyed fishing and watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns.

He is survived by his girlfriend of thirty-two years, Pauline Dettra; children, Lori Dickens, Edward Jirles II (Graceanne Kinch), Amanda (Terry) Ruggles, siblings, Phil (Sherry) Jirles, and Joann Jirles. Seven; grandchildren, Brittany (Mike) Tighe, Zachary Dickens, Taylor Morgan, Edward Jirles III, Brianne Jirles, Haley Jirles; fur buddy Dewey Dean; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Verna Severn.

A Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the VFW Post 2901, 1427 E. Wheeling Ave. Cambridge, OH 43725.
