Edwin E. Willison, Jr., (Ed) of Crooksville, Ohio, peacefully entered into eternal rest at his home while surrounded by family on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Ed was born on May 30, 1939, in Crooksville, Ohio, to the late Edwin and Dorothy (Shoemaker) Willison, Sr.
Ed was employed at Rockwell International where he was a laborer for 30 years and retired at the age of 56. After retirement, Ed continued to work for an additional 12 years repairing axles.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, going to fishing tournaments, hunting ginseng and mushrooms, painting, and teaching Taekwondo. Ed earned his 3rd degree black belt along with many other awards in both fishing and Taekwondo. A devout Methodist, Ed had a big heart and a special faith in Jesus that he was always eager to share with those around him.
Ed is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Ann (Parker) Willison, of Crooksville, Ohio and his children, Cindy (Allen) Fisher, Cheri (Mark) Payton and Misty (Jeff) Burgess, all of Crooksville, Ohio, grandchildren, Amy (Derek) Horn, Lindsey (Tyler) Hubbard, Nikki (Aimee) Morgan, Julie (Jason) Cox, Mark (Bailey) Payton, Austin (Amanda) Burgess, Gavin Burgess, Lori (Shane) Smith, Lisa (David) Payne, and Cindy (Brian) Mayhugh. Fifteen great-grandchildren, Jaylynne (Karl) Horn, Drew Horn, Drake Horn, Lyla Horn, Addie Dennis, Gracie Dennis, Sam Dennis, Kailee Morgan, Mackenzie Cox, Charlotte Cox, Nixon Payton, Nolan Payton and Amelia Burgess and one great-great grandson Maverick McAuley. Sisters Evelyn Kopp and Mabel (Chuck) Finley and brother-in-law Ted Gregor and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ed was proceeded in death by a grandson, Mark Eric Payton, Jr., sister, Julia (Willison) Gregor, brothers Max Willison and Patrick Willison, sister-in-law Sondra (Marcus) Willison, brother-in-law Richard Kopp.
The family would like to express their appreciation to nurses Becky and Kenzie and the staff of Fairhope Hospice for their compassionate care and guidance during Ed’s final days.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and 12pm to 1pm at the Community Holiness Church, 120 Thorn Street, New Lexington, Ohio

Funeral Service will be held at 1pm at the church with Pastor Jeremiah Toth officiating.
