Effie Ellen Harding (July 16, 1928 – July 1, 2010)

Effie Ellen Harding, 81 of Norwich , OH died 10:40am Thursday, July 01, 2010 at her residence following a short illness.

She was born Monday, July 16, 1928 in Masontown WV the daughter of William Thomas and Goldie Elizabeth (Dunn) Wolfe.

Mrs. Harding was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, bingo, town babysitter and candy maker. She had been previously employed at the Airwood Motel on the East Pike.

Effie is survived by four daughters: Jo Ann (Doug) Joy of Blacksburg, SC; Betty (Larry) Shanks of Zanesville; Barb Miller of Zanesville; and Brenda (Craig) Foster of Norwich; two sons: Richard (Karen) Harding of Adamsville and Terry (Janie) Harding of Nashport; 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren and a sister Lela A. (Harold) Bilyeu of Beallsville, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James R. Harding who died, Sept. 3, 1984; a daughter: Diane Buchanan and nine brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Tuesday July 6th from 1-3pm and 6-8pm with funeral services to follow at 8:00pm at Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville OH with Rev. Robin Milstead officiating. No graveside services will be held.
