Elder-Beerman Goodwill Sale
Now through October 3rd Goodwill and Elder-Beerman are teaming up for their semi-annual Goodwill Sale.
Customers bring in items to donate and in return Elder-Beerman will give them a coupon per item that they can then use to purchase new merchandise. For this special occasion the coupons will even qualify to be used on fragrances, cosmetics, brands like Levi, Fossil and Ralph Lauren and even on sale and clearance items.
“It’s great because it’s a way that the customers can give back to the community. They can clean out their closets. They bring items in or drop it to goodwill, either one. Every item makes such a difference because those items are sold in the stores and it’s created jobs for our local community, for all our family and friends. It’s a community driven event. It’s one of those things where people can give back. We can give back as associates at the store and it really makes a difference to Goodwill” says store manager at Elder-Beerman, Annie Woofer.
Elder-Beerman and Goodwill have collaborated for this cause since 1984 and over a million pounds of merchandise has been donated and collected. We also spoke with the Maple Avenue Goodwill store manager:
“The Elder-Beerman Goodwill Sale, it really helps Goodwill achieve our mission which is to help people with work opportunities, skills development and people with barriers to employment and we greatly appreciate the gently used clothing items that are donated as well as the textiles and household items” says Janelle Shaffer.
Every item donated means something to someone so be sure to come out and support a good cause at the Colony Square Mall Elder-Beerman.
