Eldoris “Ellie” Ross

Eldoris “Ellie” Ann Ross, 84 of Frazeysburg, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at Genesis Hospital.
She was born on November 19, 1939, in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of the late Vernon Ritchie and Catherine (Turrill) Ritchie.
Ellie met the love of her life and beloved husband, Bill, in the 7th grade, where they went on to graduate from Marietta High School and soon were married June 4th, 1958.
In their 49 years of marriage, they had 4 children: Timothy, Marcus, Michael and Tonya. Ellie was the best “mamaw” and “grammy” to her 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Ellie had a knack for crafts and woodworking, so she owned and operated Country Cabin Crafts in Frazeysburg for many years. She loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved playing guitar and singing gospel music with her special friends at local nursing homes and churches. Her voice will forever be missed.
Ellie is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill Ross, who passed away on January 7th, 2008, and her son, Marcus Ross, who passed away on July 4th, 2014.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children, Timothy (Shirley) Ross of Lore City, Ohio, Michael (Cathy) Ross of Frazeysburg, Ohio, and Tonya (Wayne) Ross of Cape Coral, Florida; many siblings; and extended family and friends.
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will love, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die’” -John 11:25-26
Per Ellie’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
