Elizabeth “Bettie Lou” Welsh

Elizabeth” Bettie Lou” Welsh, age 69, of Memphis, Tennessee went to be with the Lord, on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born on April 6, 1951 in Zanesville, OH. She was a retired bus driver for special needs children, loved crafting in her spare time creating things for her family. Elizabeth had a huge heart for fostering children and rescuing animals.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 19 years, Mark Welsh; three sons: Chris Schmidt, Ronald Eugene Schmidt and Sergey Welsh; three grandchildren: Cory Schmidt, Shelby Beloshapka and Megan Schmidt; two great grandchildren: Shiloh and Noble Beloshapka. She also leaves thirteen siblings: Harriett Larimer, Nellie Engle, Paul, Vernon, Elmer , Arthur, Mary Gantala, Lilly Paisley, Ann Higgins, Charles “Mike” Swartz, Randy Swartz and Thelma “Charlee” Tabler and her seven fur children: Princess, Gayle, Pumpkin O’Malley, Sugar, Freddy, Lucky Louie, and Abigail Renee.

She was preceded in death by her son Matthew Griffith; her brother Pete Swartz.

A celebration of Mrs. Welsh’s life will be held at 10am, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
