EMA: Warming and Overnight Shelters to Open Monday Night

The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency says some Shelters will be opening in our area Monday night. E-M-A Director Jeff Jadwin says the mix of power outages and cold temperatures this evening has resulted in the opening of a Warning Center/Shelter at North Terrace Church of Christ in Zanesville and another shelter at the First Presbyterian Church on Steubenville Avenue in Cambridge. Jadwin says both facilities will provide overnight shelter if needed. American Electric Power and Guernsey Muskingum Electric Cooperative have not been able to repair all of the power outages from this weekend’s high winds. The Red Cross of Southeast Ohio will also help with the shelters which open at 7:00 pm.
