Emma Jean Brown

Emma Jean Brown, 87 of Stuart, Florida, formerly of Zanesville, died, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Palm City Nursing and Rehab. She was born Sunday, March 12, 1933, in Marion Township, Noble County, Ohio, the daughter of Roy Henry Ritterbeck and Edna Marie (Brown) Ritterbeck. She married Loren J. Brown on Wednesday, September 3, 1952, and was Methodist by Faith.
Emma enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes. She enjoyed sitting of an evening listening to baseball games for relaxation. Her favorite singers were Elvis and Jimmy Swaggart singing “Leaving on my Mind”. Her favorite pastime was drinking strong and hot black coffee!
Emma Jean is survived by one son: Terry Lee (Marjorie) Brown of Stuart, FL; seven grandchildren: Janelle (Alan) Cooper of Port. St. Lucie, FL, Joy (David) Riggs of Brownsburg, IN, Emily (Stephen) Addison and Kimberly Brown both of Hobe Sound, FL, Timothy Brown II and Amanda Worstell both of Caldwell, and Kirk Brown of McArthur; twenty great grandchildren; one sister: Elaine (George) Smithberger of Summerfield, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Emma Jean was preceded in death by her husband: Loren J. Brown who died April 13, 1998; one son: Timothy Andrew Brown who died June 10, 2003; three brothers: infant Regis Roy Ritterbeck, Roger Ritterbeck and Buddy Joe Ritterbeck; and three sisters: Donna Bates, Judy Barnett and Eileen Reed.
