Entrepreneur Leaves Behind a Legacy of Feeding the Community

A successful Zanesville entrepreneur passes away this week, beloved by the community and his family.
86-year-old James “Jimmy” Adornetto was born to Italian-Sicilian immigrant parents. He embraced their heritage and culture sharing it through his love of cooking and the running of his successful restaurants from Adornetto’s Pizzeria to the Old Market House Inn to Giacomo’s Bread and more.
He loved spending time with his family including his grandchildren. He also served his community taking part in the Zanesville Rotary, Downtown Association, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the United Way among others.
He was also a lifelong parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Friends may call Monday, February 12 from 9am-11am with a funeral mass celebrated at 11am at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Nashport.
A celebration of life gathering will be held April 27 at Adornetto’s Restaurant. Details will be announced at a later date.
