Eric Hatfield

Eric Todd Hatfield, 61, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday morning, January 3, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Born November 28, 1964, in Zanesville, Eric was the son of late Marion “Junior” and Mary Jo (Helriggle) Hatfield and a 1984 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Eric worked for The Longaberger Company as a basket weaver, at Dollar General as a loader, and in the maintenance department for the City of Zanesville. He enjoyed camping with friends. Eric was a talented horse trainer and enjoyed breaking and riding horses.
Surviving is his life partner of 35 years, Dana Jenkins, whom he met in his early life and spent most of his time with; two sisters, Becky (Bob) Holdcroft, and Scarlett (EJ) Spiker; nieces and nephews, Copen (Jenny) Holdcroft, Paige (Matt) Wagner, Zach (Kayla) Hatfield, Katie Hatfield, Lakin (TJ) Phillips, Winston( Micahla) Spiker and Dalton (Hannah Tincher) Spiker; great nieces and nephews, Dalilah and Dawsen Holdcroft, Oakley and Aspen Wagner, Finn and Hudson Hatfield, Theadora Hatfield, Murphy Jo and Owen Phillips, Margo Spiker, Stetson Spiker, Brooks Tincher, Blake and Dylan McElhaney; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; sister of his life partner, Shari (Kevin) Melick; father and mother of his life partner, Duane (Evelyn) Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Gary Hatfield.
Friends and family may visit 4:30-7:30pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Homes – 714 Main Street.
Eric will be laid to rest with his brother and parents at New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville.
