Ernest Earl “Ernie” Grimm (September 6, 1950 – November 8, 2014)

Ernest Earl “Ernie” Grimm, 64, of Zanesville passed away on Saturday November 8, 2014 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Ernie was born in Marietta, Ohio on September 6, 1950. Ernie is survived by his parents, Wendell and Leah Grimm. He was an outdoor enthusiast who owned Dillon Lake Water Sports. Ernie was dedicated to preserving Ohio waterways and as a result of his efforts, was awarded the Environmental Excellence Award by the Professional Paddle Sports Association. He especially enjoyed boating, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, and kayaking with his family and friends. During the Vietnam Era, Ernie served in the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Liz” Kowallis Grimm, two sons and a daughter-in-law: Seth and Miley Grimm and Chase Grimm, a sister Gloria Gibney, and a step sister Cheri Noah.
