Escaped Wolf Hybrid Caputured — UPDATE —

The Newark Police Department says an escaped wolf hybrid has been captured. Chief Steven Sarver says just before 1 p.m. a Licking County Animal Control Officer located the animal in the area of 444 New Haven Avenue in Newark. The animal was captured without  injury to man or the wolf. Sarver says the animal was taken to a secure area of the Newark Police Headquarters and turned over the Newark Animal Control where the investigation is continuing.
