ESPN Reports Meyer Accepts Ohio State Job
ESPN is reporting that Urban Meyer has accepted the head coaching job at Ohio State. The Network is citing multiple sources in its report. Meyer has worked for the sports network for the past year. The Network did not cite a source for its report. Meyer won two national championships at Florida and is returning to his Ohio roots by becoming coach of a Buckeyes team facing NCAA problems. No announcement has been set by Ohio State, although there were reports that a team meeting set for Sunday night has been moved to Monday afternoon. Myer has a 10-year record of 104-23.He takes over a program that has been hit by several suspensions and the forced resignation of Coach Jim Tressel. The Buckeyes completed a 6-6 season under interim coach Luke Fickell with a 40-34 loss to rival Michigan on Saturday.
