Esther Breugger (October 5, 1924 – November 5, 2011)
Esther E. Brugger, 87, of Marion, formerly of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Marion General Hospital.
She was born October 5, 1924 in Hoskinsville, Ohio to the late Harry E. and Bessie Belle (Dudley) Geary. She was one of 10 children. On October 7, 1940 she was married to George W. Brugger who preceded her in death on October 18, 2008. Their marriage was blessed by the birth of 2 sons; Rev. Gary (Martha) Brugger of Marion and Gene (Dianne) Brugger of Coshocton, Oh., along with 8 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters; Martha Brugger of Spring Harbour, Mi., Donna Bates of Lakeland, Fla., Norma Huffman of Albion, Mi., and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband of 68 years were 4 brothers & 2 sisters.
Esther was a witty person and enjoyed cooking many special dishes that her family enjoyed as well as her saying such things as “I’ve gone to look for myself. If I should return before I get back, please keep me here!” Most important to Esther was her relationship to Jesus Christ which she carefully maintained by her regular Bible reading schedule along with her fervent and passionate prayer life. She was a member of the Heritage Bible Church and retired from Essex Wire in Zanesville after 22 years of service.
The Family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville, where visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Friday, November 11, 2011 with a graveside service following at Hoskinsville Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Esther’s name may be given to Hope International Missions, Hope Sound, Fla. or to Gideons International.
