Ethel L. Fisher (June 30, 1919 – April 6, 2012)

Ethel L. Fisher, 92, of Zanesville, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency Room. She was born June 30, 1919, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles and Freda Lutz Hosler. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Ethel retired from Hazel Atlas Plant 1. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, loved to shop, travel, was a member of the Eastern Star Olive Branch #251 for over 60 years and the Amrou Grotto Cauldron.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Jean Rutter of Prospect and Marilyn Sue (Virgil) Pickrell of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Thomas (Cassie) Rutter of Marion, John (Dana) Rutter of Springfield, Christina Rutter of Richwood, Virgil W. (Tonia) Pickrell of Copley, Michael (Heather) Rutter of Prospect and Darrin “Bull†Pickrell of Zanesville; eighteen great grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren; a sister, Edna Crawford of Avondale; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Fisher in 1995; a great granddaughter, Adalynn Patton; four brothers, Walter, Clarence, Charles and Ralph Hosler; and four sisters, Betty Lotterbaugh, Erma Ansel, Ruth Sheets and Margaret V. Stevens.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Tom, at Zanesville Memorial Park.
