Eugene “Gene” Wright age 70 of Zanesville passed away Sunday November 27, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born December 7, 1940 in Dwale, KY a son of the late Lewis and Aretta Braham Wright. He was retired from AEP, member of IBEW Local 1466 and loved all sports, particularly Golf and Baseball.
Gene is survived by his wife Sheila Wright; daughter Wendy (Keith) Long of Zanesville; grandchildren Taylor Cates, Brianna and Ryan Long; brother Donald Wright and family of Morehead, KY; sisters Ernestine Ward of Martin, KY, Betty Pitts of Columbus, OH and Lois Walke and their families of Marysville, OH; mother-in-law Doris (Charles) Combs of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law Charlotte (Walt) Lepp of Spring, TX and a special niece Melissa (Scott) Hollis of Bossier City, LA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Lewis Wright Jr. and Bernard Leslie; and father-in-law Milford Bail.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday November 30, 2011 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY RD. ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday December 1, 2011 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens Canal Winchester, OH.
