Every Vote Counts

One local organization is asking for the public’s assistance.

Youth Build of Muskingum County submitted a proposal to Pepsi Refresh, which is giving away millions of dollars in grants to help individuals and communities.

"Everyday you can get online and vote for our project so we can win 50,000 dollars, you have to be in the top ten of the 50,000 category to win the 50,000 dollars," said Youth Build of Muskingum County Program Manager Trayce Milton.

All $50,000 would go towards helping homeless young adults.

"We’re partnering with Fox Fire Highschool to build a house, a transitional home for young adults between ages 18-22 that are in highschool or going to college that are homeless," said Milton.

The house would be located at the corner of Market and Galigher. Milton believes giving these young adults a safe home will inspire them to make a positive change. The deadline to vote is September 30th.
