ExploreZanesvilleZANESVILLE, Ohio- Old man winter has arrived but there is still a lot our county has to offer.

To some our weather is not the most ideal. Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Marketing and Group Sales Manager Lori Kappes said there are many places that offer fun activities for every member of your family.

“In the winter we do still have people coming. And the kinds of things they’re doing are programming at The Wilds. They still have some tours available. You can register for those. They are not the same during the open season. But you get a behind the scenes look at what they are doing with the animals in the winter. Our artist colony is still open for business. And still doing the first Friday art walk,”  said Kappes.

Kappes said the winery and brewery are favorite as well. Ripple Rock Fish Farms offers tours all year round and every first Saturday they sell fresh fish. Kappes said there is still a lot of people coming here during the winter.

“A lot people come in for antique and pottery shopping. That seems to happen all year round and it doesn’t stop in the winter. We also have people who will come to our state parks especially Dillon” said Kappes.

Kappes encourages everyone to go visitzanesville.info. There is everything from tours to community events.
