Autumn has arrived and as the leaves change color, the community partakes in an annual tradition of the season.

People of all ages came out to celebrate the Fall Festival today at the Zane Grey Museum in Muskingum County.

Betsy Taylor, with the museum, says the event is open to the public and all are welcome.

“We like to do this every year. It caps off our season, for one thing, and in a way it is to show our appreciation for all of the people who’ve come and visited us throughout the Summer. We’ve had a great year. And that’s what the museum is all about–bringing people in, entertaining them, and educating them. So, this day is all for fun; that’s what we’re all about here.”

Fall themed activities are always on-hand at the festival and this year was no exception.

“One of the things during this time that they can do, that’s really popular, is to make scarecrows. And that seems to be something that kids and adults get into, because it’s really creative. They can make slime, they can have their faces painted. They can listen to wonderful live music, they can play games like cornhole, see a spinning demonstration…and brand new this year; we have a bulb planting activity that they can do.”

The Fall Festival takes place each year at the Zane Grey Museum, located in Norwich.
