Fall Like Weather in December

People were out enjoying the uncharacteristic weather in downtown Zanesville on Saturday.

Matthew Dickinson and Paul Swan were hanging out near Fourth Street enjoying the warm late December day. They say they were shocked that it was so nice outside.

"It’s beautiful it’s great weather for this time of year I mean we expected a white Christmas. We had a little bit of snow and now we have a nice sunny Saturday morning to run around, " said Dickinson.

"I was almost in disbelief,  you kind of wake up with the holiday hangovers as some people would call it and when I walked outside and it was gorgeous weather and I was like this is great, this is wonderful so I was able to get a lot of stuff done that I missed out on during the holidays, " said Swan.

A little closer to Zane’s Landing Park, two runners say they were using the beautiful weather to exercise, stay healthy, and prepare for a 5K run later this week.

"We went out for a walk, we work out together a lot and I liked the weather today so I asked her if she wanted to go walk and we just finished four miles, " said Renee Thorn.

"I loved it. I rather have it like this all winter long so I still can get out all winter long and walk and exercise, " said Becky Fleming.

Other community members rode their bikes, played basketball or just admired the beautiful weather.
