Family Holiday Traditions

The holiday season brings about many family traditions that are near and dear to our hearts.

Whether they be old or new, these rituals bring comfort to us.

Many involve spending time with family and friends. Craig Thorne says he’s visiting family from Huron, Ohio.

"We rarely see each other since we’re so far apart, and we just like to get together every now and then, " says Thorne.

Or some can be as simple as wrapping gifts together, listening to Christmas carols, or even watching that favorite holiday movie.

"We always make sure we watch the Polar Express. It’s just something that we’ve always done, we sit, and we do, " says Morgan County resident Amanda Gorrell.

Gorrell also says holiday shopping is a family tradition. She and her sisters hit the stores the day after the Thanksgiving.
