Fatal Accident in Muskingum County

MUSKINGUM COUNTY–The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on State Route 60 in Wayne Township, Muskingum County.
On April 10, 2025 at approximately 8:47 P.M, Troopers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. A 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle was northbound on State Route 60. The motorcycle struck the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet HHR, and proceeded to lay the bike on its side, before going off the right side of the roadway.
The motorcycle operator, Jerry Clark, age 48, of Zanesville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The motorcycle passenger, Amanda Runion, age 42, of Zanesville, was transported to Genesis Hospital, where she is being treated for life threatening injuries.
The vehicle driver, Cameron Cartwright, age 68, of Philo, was transported to Genesis Hospital with minor injuries.
Assisting on scene: Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne Township Fire Department, Genesis Community Ambulance, Muskingum County Coroner, SRS Services, Y-City Towing, and Carroll’s Towing
The crash remains under investigation.
