Fatal Accident in Perry County

Lancaster, Ohio – The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Zanesville man.

The accident happened just before 5:00 PM Monday on Tunnel Hill Road near Township Road 487 in Pike Township in Perry County.

Authorities said 52-year-old Larry Dennis was driving a 2024 Ford F-450  westbound on Tunnel Hill Road and traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a culvert and tree.

Dennis was transported to Genesis Hospital in Somerset by New Lexington EMS personnel where he was pronounced deceased.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, New Lexington Fire and EMS, Perry County Engineers Office and Tanners Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
