Fatal Accident In Perry County

A Zanesville man was killed in a motorcycle accident.

It happened Monday on State Route 555 in Perry County. The Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Kenneth Kelly was riding his Harley Davidson northwest on 555 just before 5:30 in the evening. A truck driven by Peter Sigman of Malta was traveling southeast on 555.

Troopers said Kelly drove his cycle left of the centerline and into the path of the truck resulting in a head-on collision.

Kelly was transported to Genesis Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Kelly was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Sigman was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
