Fatal Crash in Fairfield County

LANCASTER, OH- On Thursday, March 12, 2026, at approximately 9:09 P.M. the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lancaster Post received a call of a two-vehicle crash on Pleasantville Road near State Route 158 in Greenfield Township, Fairfield County.

It was determined that a 2015 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Karla Vick, 66, of Buckeye Lake was driving eastbound on Pleasantville Road. A 2015 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Seth Peele, 33, of Lancaster was driving westbound on Pleasantville Road when both vehicles struck head on.

Ms. Vick was transported to Grant Medical Center by Air Evac for serious injuries. Mr. Peele was pronounced deceased on scene by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Basil Fire Department, Greenfield Township Fire/EMS, Fairfield County Engineers Office, Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, and Barbers Towing.

The crash remains under investigation
