Fatal Semi Accident in Muskingum County

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio–The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal commercial vehicle crash.

It happened Wednesday at 10:25 a.m. on Interstate-70 East near Milepost 164.

Authorities said  a 2013 Kenworth, driven by 53-year-old George Brinegar, Jr. of Fairmont, West Virginia, was travelling east on I-70 when it went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.

The Patrol reports that the tractor trailer overturned and traveled down the embankment.

Brinegar was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
